Ms. Liao Jiamin holds a Master of Psychology degree from the Department of Psychology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is a Registered Clinical Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the Hong Kong Psychological Society. She has over 12 years of clinical experience in public hospitals, dealing with various emotional problems in children, adolescents, and adults. She also focuses on addressing the psychological distress and adjustment disorders faced by cancer and long-term patients.

In addition to cognitive behavioral therapy, she also frequently uses ACT (Acceptance and Acceptance Therapy) and mindfulness therapy to help clients regain a meaningful and high-quality life. Furthermore, with a strong interest in early childhood mental health, she has obtained a certified instructor qualification in the Circle of Security Parenting Program in the United States. She hopes to help parents respond more effectively to their children's emotional needs through therapy groups, helping children build a sense of security and self-esteem.

Ms. Liao places great emphasis on enhancing both teachers' and students' understanding of psychology through training and supervision. She serves as an honorary clinical supervisor for postgraduate clinical psychology programs at the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She also holds an honorary lectureship in the Department of Social Work at the University of Hong Kong. In addition, Ms. Liao frequently advocates for mental and psychological well-being through media interviews and writing publications on the subject.

Dr Charmian M.Y. Young holds a Master's and Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Hong Kong and is a registered clinical psychologist in the Professional Medical Register, recognized by the Hong Kong Psychological Society, the Hong Kong Association of Clinical Psychologists, and the Department of Health. She has over 15 years of experience in psychiatry and clinical psychology, with particularly extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents. She also has extensive experience working in schools, providing appropriate on-campus psychological support to students and teachers.

 

In her work with children and adolescents, Ms. Yang initially focused on the assessment and treatment of autism and the mental health of young children. She holds several professional certifications as a certified instructor, including the Circle of Security, The Incredible Years Parenting Training Program, The Incredible Years Child Behavior Training Program, and PEERS Social Skills Training Program, aiming to provide high-quality services to children and their families. Furthermore, she is a certified Infant Massage instructor from the International Federation of Infant Massage Therapists.

 

Recognizing the importance of emotions in quality of life and mental illness treatment, Ms. Yang has incorporated emotionally focused therapy into her treatments in recent years, providing psychological services to adolescents and adults. Through emotional intervention, she helps service users cope with their problems more effectively and improve their quality of life.

 

In addition to her clinical work, Ms. Yang has been appointed as an honorary clinical supervisor at the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has also been invited to participate in newspaper writing and to give lectures at various universities and non-profit organizations, actively promoting mental health and professional development.

Dr Samantha Y.M.Yung graduated from the University of Hong Kong and has worked as a clinical psychologist in the Department of Psychiatry at the Christian Union Hospital, the Elderly Health Service of the Department of Health, the Hong Kong Police Force, and private organizations. Since beginning her practice in 2004, Dr. Yung has served children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly. She has particularly extensive experience in adult psychology and institutional psychological support.

Dr. Yung has served as an honorary clinical supervisor for the Master of Clinical Psychology programs at the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Vice-Chairperson for External Affairs of the Clinical Psychology Section of the Hong Kong Psychological Society, and a member of the advisory committee for counseling programs at Lingnan University and Hong Kong Baptist University. In addition, Dr. Yung has been invited on numerous occasions to serve as a guest lecturer and speaker at various universities and government departments. She also writes columns for newspapers and shares information on mental health through various media outlets.

Dr. Weng specializes in mindfulness-based psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy to address various emotional issues. She believes that the goal of psychotherapy is not only to alleviate symptoms and treat illnesses, but also a process of self-understanding and personal growth. Therefore, Dr. Weng is dedicated to guiding clients towards deeper changes and sustained personal growth.

Dr. Ong is also a certified mindfulness course instructor and a registered yoga teacher. She has been practicing mindfulness since 2006 and has dedicated herself to promoting and teaching mindfulness courses for the past decade. Dr. Ong hopes that by sharing mindfulness and yoga, everyone can cultivate inner peace, physical and mental health, loving-kindness, and wisdom.
